I'm a Money Coach*, who has been trained to coach with an emphasis on financial issues but also with insight and sensitivity into how financial issues extend into all areas of life. I can help you with many skills - from improving your budgeting skills to addressing underlying stresses and behavioural patterns that keep coming back to sabotage your best intentions. You are always the expert in your own life and a good coach will not impose their own ideas or judgements on you.

A well trained money coach will not only look to help you understand your products, and how to work towards your goals, but will recognise and address underlying emotional challenges and seek to explore these if appropriate. I look to bring about deep and lasting change where appropriate, not just things ticked off a to do list.

 

I have had a lifelong interest in the psychology of money, wondering why it's so taboo yet it's influence over our lives so powerful and all encompassing. Call me strange, but I have been reading books about it for over 20 years. When a family challenge arose I discovered financial coaching, and was  impressed at it's power to help bring about understanding and change.  Not long afterwards I jumped at the chance to train with Simonne Gnessen, the pioneer of Financial Coaching in the UK.

I am a Medical Scientist and Educator by training and bring precision and rigour to thinking about life's problems, but am also a seeker of life's bigger questions and answers, and always seek the wider picture in any situation.

I live just outside Brighton on the South Coast of the UK, and am passionate about community and empowering people through coaching and education.
